Shortpixel vs. Optimole

Optimole vs. Shortpixel Image Optimierung

Shortpixel or Optimole? A quick comparison of the two image optimisation plugins for WordPress.

Both plugins optimise images. But they differ in price and function. The right choice depends on what your website needs.

1.) Free Optimole – for small websites with little traffic (no shops)

I recommend the free version of Optimole for small websites under 5,000 visitors per month. Setup is easy. For most small sites, that is perfectly sufficient. However: Optimole cannot optimise WooCommerce product images. So it is not suitable for online shops.

2.) Paid Shortpixel (affiliate link) – for WooCommerce shops & high-traffic sites

Shortpixel is cheaper than Optimole and offers more features. The biggest advantage: Shortpixel also optimises WooCommerce product images. If you run an online shop or have a lot of traffic, Shortpixel is the better choice.
